Regarding Headends...
Our headend platform is an extremely modular and cost-effective solution that allows network broadcast operators to ensure a fast deployment, easy operation and maintenance, and a quick evolution to future services.
SIDSA headend equipment supplies acquisition, coding, adaptation, encapsulation, service guide, redundancy, management and security technologies: all necessary stages for managing and delivering audio-visual contents and interactive applications via broadcast to mobile receivers.
Our headends follow an IP-based topology that provides the operator with an extremely high degree of flexibility and scalability without losing any of the relevant typical features of a traditional ASI-based headend.
We have carried out extensive interoperability tests with the main DVB-H Mobile TV manufacturers, having installed several commercial and fully functional headends around the World. Besides, we have strategic agreements with key interactive application, electronic service guides, transmitter and Mobile TV CAS/SPP providers so we can bring all the necessary interoperable technology to build a complete solution.
Other Featrures:
Available in traditional 1RU components and in ultra-compact version (boards housed in a EtherTV chassis - 19’’,4RU).
Support of open loop statistical multiplexing and dynamic time-slicing - enabling more channels (but keeping a good quality of experience) in the multiplex and being independent of the type and location of encoders/transcoders.
Interoperable with the main DVB-H receiver providers (Nokia, Sagem, Samsung, Gigabyte, etc…).
Supporting both DVB-CBMS and OMA-BCAST standard.
Agreement with Irdeto to support different SPP specifications (DVB-IPDC OSF, OMA-BCAST DRM and SCP profiles).

- Vega IPDC encapsulator: IP Encapsulator performing statistical multiplexing (OLSM) and adaptive time-slicing.
- KeyCrypt scrambler. ISMACryp scrambler.
- POLARplus Manager. User-friendly Interface based on Java technology for headend management.

Regarding Distribution...
SIDSA has developed a complete solution for CDN via satellite and IP networks, also cosidering a network redundancy scenario: POLAR CDN distributes the trnsport stream generated at the headend from headend to remote transmitters sites, respecting SFN synchronization and securing the content.
