Founded in 1992 as a local design center ASICs (Custom Integrated Circuits). Is the result of a long term project founded on the basis of constant innovation and product development in the audiovisual arena.

During the following years experimented an exponential growth in staff and turn-over.

With headquarters in Madrid (Spain) began its commercial expansion worldwide, and had offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, Moscow and San Francisco.

In 2003 SIDSA received the prestigious Príncipe Felipe award to the “EXCELENCIA EMPRESARIAL” (Excellence in Entrepreneurship).

Three years latter, in 2006 SIDSA was co-invested by two Private Equity and Venture Capital companies: iNova Capital and Baring Private Equity Partners.

2006: Plan Avanza Award (PROFIT category). Best innovative SME thanks to the  project: "Loren 2006: advanced DVB-H receiver with Antenna Diversity and improved Doppler".

Fundación Universidad Politecnica de Madrid 2007 Award:  Best R&D projects and SIDSA contribution to Education through the UPM’s “Cátedra SIDSA”.

2008: Red Herring Europe 2008 winner, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA region each year.

Nowadays SIDSA is one of the leading technology providers in the Digital Video Broadcast arena providing as well business solutions and turnkey projects.
